The Mustard Seed
Aiding those in needI provided support to individuals in a multi-faceted role at The Mustard Seed. I assisted with meal prep in the kitchen, providing nutritious and balanced meals throughout the day, as well as created care packages with donated, non-perishable food items. Additionally, I collected and sorted donations in the storage room, providing patrons with necessary items, such as jackets, shoes, and blankets.
Additionally, I participated in Trick-or-Eat, representing UVIC, and teaming with Meal Exchange to collect food donations door to door on Halloween night for those less fortunate in my community. We collected more than 5,000 non-perishable food donations, which were quickly assimilated into care packages for people and families requiring the most basic needs.
